A therapy that involves placing glass, silicone or plastic cups along the meridians of the body, to create a vacuum suction that produces negative pressure. The purpose is to enhance blood circulation, relieve pain, stimulate energy flow, remove toxin etc. Most commonly used techniques include stationary cupping and slide cupping.  Stationary cupping is when cups are suctioned onto the skin and retained for treatment.  Slide cupping involves moving the cups along the meridians on lubricated skin.

Cupping is effectively used for:

- muscular tension in the neck, shoulders and back

- colds & flu

- allergies

- detoxification & relaxation

Stand-alone cupping or combined with acupuncture (10-15mins)

Moxibustion is a heat therapy that involves the burning of the herb mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris, Ai Ye) to provide penetrating warm to facilitate healing and invigorate the flow of energy in the body. Mugwort's  acrid and spicy properties enable it to travel through the meridians, regulate Qi and blood, and expel cold. It is used for some pain conditions, and can even successfully turn a breech baby to a normal head-down position prior to birth.
